Living With Nature – Keter Introduces Lakeside Collection at Unbeatable Prices

Some companies work hard to make sustainability part and parcel of what they do. Other companies define their operations by their ability to reduce, reuse, and eliminate waste within the supply chain.

Keter Group was founded in 1948 and is based out of Israel. Growing rapidly into an international company with more than 5,000 employees, the business has developed a reputation for producing winning products backed by sustainable practices.

Led by CEO Alejandro Pena, Keter Group has made a name for itself thanks to its reliance on sustainable resin-based materials which provide longevity, a modern finish, and affordability all at once.

Recently announcing the launch of its Lakeside Collection, Pena and the team at Keter took center stage to discuss some of its accomplishments.

Bringing the Lakeside Collection Home

Keter Group is first and foremost a leader in sustainable manufacturing, something that didn’t happen by accident. Keter instead utilizes recycled resin materials that are completely recyclable and made to last an entire lifetime. These resin materials have a professional finish that makes them indistinguishable from other more resource-intensive options.

The Lakeside Collection is built around a variety of products but leading the change is Keter’s development of the Adirondack Chair. Available in six finishes, the Adirondack Chairs by Keter are built from LumberTech materials before being treated with SunGuard technology.

LumberTech provides Keter’s collection with a material that is as enduring as it is easy to work with. LumberTech does not give up any splinters while also providing up to 400 lbs of support. LumberTech is made from recycled materials which, in this instance, means milk cartons sourced and produced within the United States.

The SunGuard technology utilized by Keter gives its products a UV-resistant finish that prevents wear-and-tear as well as traditional fading from the elements. SunGuard technology works to give Keter’s products their signature longevity.

Alejandro Pena says of his team’s work on the Lakeside Collection, “They believe the future is bright and that together we can build a better company and, most importantly, a better world for future generations.”

Looking to the Future

The Keter team is far from the only production team focused on sustainability and recyclability, but they are certainly setting the tone for consumer expectations going forward. Keter’s careful attention paid to sustainability has put it in a different category when it comes time to shop for winning products at affordable prices.

To continue on its mission statement of reducing, reusing, and recycling, Keter plans to increase the total use of recycled materials within its production line to 55% by 2025, up from the 41.8% that it currently resides. As an additional goal, Keter has eliminated the use and development of any single-use plastic consumer products, minimizing its environmental footprint along the way.

With that being said, Keter isn’t going to go at it alone. CEO Alejandro Pena continues to usher in change by leading the way as a vocal head for the sustainability movement.
